Snow covered mountain peaks at Fernie Alpine Resort

This past Wednesday one of our staff members Kelly came to work with a beaming smile on her face. It could only mean one thing. Enough snow had fallen in Fernie and she got to experience her first Canadian winter and brushing off her car. (For those Canadians reading this, I’m not sure how one could be so excited to do this!?)

With the Griz continuing to blanket us with snow comes talk of the season ahead. We’re all anxiously waiting for opening day (currently set for December 1st) at Fernie Alpine Resort. 57 cms has already fallen which has created a nice 37 cm base. At this rate, the Griz is helping set us up for another epic season.

Dylan Siggers, a Fernie local, knows all about Fernie’s legendary powder. He’s grown up riding the valley, which makes him a perfect ambassador for Fernie Alpine Resort.
