There’s a kiosk at each location where you can register and leave your fee in a lock box.  If you prefer, you can purchase a pass online.  The cost of an individual pass is $12, or $24 for a family. You can also consider getting a membership for the season.  They’re available online or you can pick up our traditional paper enrollment form at Freshie’s on 2nd Ave in Fernie. What great value to enjoy the many groomed trails around Fernie! (Please note that skiing areas where dogs are welcome are the Dyke, the Fernie Alpine Resort and Island Lake trails. Dogs are not permitted on the Golf Course or the Elk Valley Nordic Centre.)

Fat Biking

Mountain biking is a favorite past time of many Fernie residents.  Usually enjoyed in the summer, biking has become a year-round sport with so-called Fat Bikes and their thick snow tires. With an extensive and ever growing number of trails being maintained by the Fernie Mountain Bike Club, there’s something for every skill level! In the winter, the Ridgemont Trails are best for fat tire biking – but there’s many others to choose from! If you don’t have your own fat bike, head downtown to the Gear Hub for some friendly, local advice with your gear. If you’re looking for a little guidance or a guide, The Guide’s Hut (Fernie Bike Guides) can get you set up.
