Transrockies went down a storm in Fernie and we hosted a podium winning team!

The 2011 Transrockies race saw three epic days in Fernie, BC. and the Joy Bike Oldies from the Netherlands and Germany (staying at the Red Tree Lodge) take third place!

It was perfect weather and fantastic conditions in Fernie, BC for the 10th annual Transrockies race.

Many teams came from all over the world to compete and we had a number of international teams staying here including third place podium winners “Joy Bike Oldies” Hans Swaans (from the Netherlands) and Frank Raschke (from Germany) in the TR7 100+ Open! Well done guys!

We also had a team from Britain, Belgium and Germany as well as some Australians a Frenchman.

All in all a fabulous event, with some outstanding terrain and dramatic scenery. It was great to be part of it; sponsoring staff accommodation and being able to discount our hotel rooms for the race participants (bikes and gear are expensive enough!).

Registration is already open for 2012 and Fernie is hosting T3 again – can’t wait! Make sure you book your space before they are sold out: Transrockies 2012 registration.
