Fernie, BC Provides Great Photo Opportunities

We’ve been getting treated to some beautiful weather this past week and it’s making for unbelievable photo opportunities.

A week ago, the sun decided to make it’s full appearance and now we’ve had four blue bird days ever since. A real treat for the visitors and residents of Fernie. In the winter months the sun only peaks out at us once and awhile, so when the sky is blue and there’s no clouds in sight, the cameras come out.

With such great weather, the new Polar Peak lift has been running smoothly and providing even more spectacular photo opportunities (and more smiling faces). Ski above the clouds and enjoy the panoramic views from Polar Peak.

Fernie is known for it’s legendary powder and so far this season we haven’t been disappointed. Although it’s been two weeks since our last big dump (170 cms in 48 hours), the blue bird days are a nice change…. until those clouds show up again and the Griz comes out and brings us more of that fluffy white goodness.
