Fernie is known for having it’s own micro climate, but it’s caused us to start using a new phrase when people ask about the weather in Fernie. “It’s raining down here, snowing up there.”
For the past few days, Fernie has seen nothing but rain, but at Fernie Alpine Resort, the snow keeps on falling! With 67 cms in the last 48 hours and more in the forecast, we have only The Griz to thank for all this fresh powder.
Fernie Alpine Resort is opening November 26th & 27th for a preview weekend, to give us a taste of what is to come when full operations begin December 2nd. Although only the Elk, Bear and Mighty Moose lifts will be running for the preview weekend, it will surely tide you over.
