Last Winter, the Rocky Mountain Sherpas took to Island Lake to film their most recent project, already receiving rave reviews – ALL.I.CAN.
The Sherpas are made up of Malcom Sangster (producer), Eric Crosland (director), and Dave Mossop (director). This talented trio’s first feature was the popular educational film on avalanches, The Fine Line. While The Fine Line drives a solid point home, leaving viewers with an interest in mother nature and respecting the backcountry, it also showcases the Sherpas’ cinematography and creativity. After all it did win Best Film at the Fernie Mountain Film Festival in 2009.
ALL.I.CAN is a two year feature film project that fuses our passions for riding and exploring the mountains with the potential to help the environment. The film strives to unite global mountain culture and bind us together as the leaders of a revolution. We must be inspired to do all we can for the environment, and we must learn how to take that first tiny step in the right direction.
The trio is currently on a world tour promoting ALL.I.CAN, which is hitting Fernie on October 27th. ALL.I.CAN is a three-act film. “ALL” represents the big picture of the world and it’s progression. “I” comes down to the individual characters. “CAN” is an integration of the two.
The Fernie premiere presented by the Fernie Fix and Island Lake: 7pm, October 27th at the Vogue Theatre. Tickets are $12 and include the after party at The Central with Shred Kelly.
