We decided last minute to book this hotel since we are supposed to be camping but mother nature decided to give us two days of steady rain.. And I am pleasantly surprised by this hotel!! The front desk lady is very helpful and nice, the rooms are extremely clean, there is free laundry which is great for us campers, air conditioning you control yourself in each room, the room also has fridge, microwave, coffee maker, shampoos etc and few types of pillows to choose from. The bed is very comfortable, and I don’t hear a thing from the other rooms. They also have a pool, hot tub, sauna, movie room with free DVDs, games-rec room, as well as lounge rooms and a guest kitchen where you can cook your own meal if you wanted. I will definitely stay here again and I will most definitely recommend this hotel to our friends. I’m glad the weather isn’t nice out right now or we would have missed the opportunity to stay here!
We were in Fernie for 2 nights and the room was huge for starters. It had a large bedroom and a nice sitting room. They also had a pool and hot tub as well as a recreational area for down time and play some pool. It was quite most of the time and easily accessible to the main road for jaunts to Island Lake Lodge and old downtown. Would come back and stay again.
The staff here were super. Although I was looking for a pet friendly hotel, there was no way to put that on my reservation. Although I wasn’t in a pet-approved room they were fabulous enough to put us up. The neighbourhood is very nice and of course the scenery is fabulous.
My boyfriend and I stayed here during a golf retreat to the Crowsnest Pass/Fernie area. We are a couple in our late twenties, and were just looking for a nice little place to stay for the weekend. The Red Tree Lodge was perfect. The lady we met at the front desk, (I believe her name was Kristy? Kristen?) was so sweet and welcoming, and pointed us in the direction of an awesome little pub just down the street to have dinner. Nothing was “cheaped out” on, they have Van Houtte coffee (my favourite!) in the rooms, real Coffee Mate creamer, and even the muffins and yogurt in the mornings were high quality and delicious. Our room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed (microwave, fridge, hair dryer). We went down to the game room (which is awesome!) after our busy day and played pool for hours. It was so much fun, and I would without a doubt return for another stay.
We ended up at the Red Tree Lodge last minute as our original accommodation plans fell through. They turned what could have been a terrible weekend into an amazing one. Before we made it to our room, we asked about some biking trails nearby. The woman at the front desk was not an experienced trail rider, but quickly went to grab a maintenance worker who she knew would be able to help us. He spent a good 20 minutes explaining which trails would be best for a strong rider (my boyfriend) and which might be best for a novice (me). After we went to grab our bags from the car, he came out to find us, and lent us his own personal trail guide. When we finally got to the room, we were pleasantly surprised with two care packages for our two dogs, to ensure that they had a nice stay too.
I can’t express how happy I was with the amazing service. The rooms were clean, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. I would definitely go there again.
We stayed at the Red Tree Lodge for 1 night in July on our way through Fernie. The hotel is older but we found the room to be clean and comfortable. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We had a lot of fun checking out this lodge and seeing all the amenities it has…a very nice common kitchen, games room, pool, sauna, small movie theatre etc. I know our boys will be going there this winter during snowboarding season to stay here.
We stayed at this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews and we were fairly happy with the experience. It is a wonderful hotel with many amenities and would be especially useful for long stays. They have a small movie theatre, hot tub, pool, and games room all for free.
The rooms were very clean and nicely done, the towels were amazingly soft, and they had all the things you could need.
The one thing we were a little disappointed with were the beds as they were not super comfortable and a stiff or on the older side. The pillows were also on the small side but we did appreciate that they had a variety of pillows to chose from for your preference.
Is an older hotel and had physical keys which was a bit of a challenge to remember you had to lock the doors upon leaving, after many times staying in hotels that automatically lock it isn`t something I was use to and would probably have forgotten to lock my room had I been alone.
Overall it was a very friendly, clean hotel with lots of extra activities but it definitely needs an update for the price.
I loved this place! It’s cute and kind of feels like you’re in an old-school ski lodge. The staff is really friendly and my room was clean. I spent a few nights here and felt really settled. In 10-15 mins you can walk to the cute shops downtown. There is a well-equipped kitchen for guests and a cute little reading area where you can take a book/leave a book. This was my little home away from home while I was on the road.
Stayed here on a road trip. The room was well kept and clean. The hotel seems well run. A shame that the attached restaurant is ‘between proprietors’ and so out of service, but there were lots of nearby places to eat. Air conditioner was very old and iced up, but it did work. I’d book here for sure when looking for a place in Fernie again.
There’s a pool, sauna, hot tub, movie room and a recreation room! Everything was way above expectations, and our room was very clean and well kept. It was a very good price considering the last minute booking, only $105.00 after taxes and other fees. Will definitely return if I am in the area!
