Red Tree Lodge helps celebrate Fernival at Fernie Alpine Resort

Over the past 5 months, Fernie has seen plenty of those legendary powder days, after all it’s what were known for and with Fernie Alpine Resort’s closing day looming, nothing says “goodbye” to winter and “hello” to summer like a party!

Fernie Alpine Resort always knows how to throw an epic party and Fernival is no exception! Join us in celebrating another fantastic year of riding this coming weekend, April 13th-14th!

Fernival is a festival for adults and children of all ages, filled with live music, beer gardens and of course the Powder, Peddle, Paddle Relay. The festivities start April 13th at 12 noon with the opening of the Bud Light Event Gardens. At 2:00pm, live music hits the stage with opening act Cumberland. At 3:30pm the main act, Canadian Music Legends Chilliwack hit the stage with their popular 70’s and 80’s tracks including “My Girl (Gone Gone Gone)”, “I Believe”, “Whatcha Gonna Do”, “Fly At Night” and “Lonesome Mary”. The Powder, Peddle, Paddle Relay is a strong tradition in Fernie and has been running since 1984! Race as a team or an individual and challenge yourself to this race, including SKI (Top of Bear, down Cedar Bowl and Cedar Trail to Base Area), BIKE (from Base area through Timberline Subdivision to Hwy #3 to Elk River), PADDLE (down Elk River to bottom of Ski Hill Road), RUN (from bottom of ski hill road uphill through Timberline Subdivision through parking lot to Base area Finish Line). Another way to end an amazing year!
