Remembrance Day in Fernie
Commemorating the end of WWI with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #36.
All are welcome to join Royal Canadian Legion Branch #36 for the parade and events of the day.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
10.40am: Parade departs from the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #36, 561 1st Ave, to the Cenotaph at The Fernie Courthouse. Led by Legion members, Elk Valley RCMP, 1st Responders, 3300 Club, City of Fernie, Elk Valley Cadets and others.
10.55am: Cenotaph Service.
11am: 2 minute silence.
Remembrance Day is a public holiday in Canada.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
